Dhanashree shares first post after Yuzvendra's comment
Dhanashree took to Instagram to post for the first time since the cricketer’s recent comments, sharing photos from her recent trip to Dubai. She expressed that returning to Dubai after a long time brought back many cherished memories from her childhood. She found it both surreal and heartwarming to see how much the city has changed over the years. One of the highlights of her visit was exploring a beautiful Hindu temple, which she described as "peaceful, powerful, and a reminder of how far this city has come in embracing culture and community". She also shared her gratitude for the personal growth, strong roots, and the opportunity to reconnect.
The post comes soon after Chahal appeared on Raj Shamani’s podcast, where he shed light on the viral "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy" T-shirt he wore on the day of their final divorce hearing. The cricketer explained that while he had no intention of creating drama, he felt compelled to send a message.
Although Chahal insisted he had no intention of creating controversy, he hinted that his actions were triggered by something that happened on Dhanashree’s side. He explained that at first, he didn’t want to react, but when things happened again, he decided to let go and stop caring about others’ opinions. Chahal added that he didn’t insult anyone and only wanted to convey a message.
While Dhanashree has not directly addressed Chahal’s remarks, her calm and spiritual post is being interpreted by fans and media alike as a subtle response. Her smiling photos and thoughtful caption indicate she is choosing a path of healing and positivity, rather than engaging in any public back-and-forth.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma were officially granted a divorce by the Mumbai family court in March this year. They got married in December 2020 and, according to their petition, separated in June 2022. On February 5, they filed a joint request in court for a mutual divorce.
The Bombay High Court later asked the family court to make a decision on their case and also removed the usual six-month waiting period required under the Hindu Marriage Act.
