Wikipedia:Requests for page protection

Page semi-protected
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Wikipedia:RFPP)
Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here.

Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection).

After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:ProtectedPages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to remove obvious vandalism.

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – nonsense editing on the talk page. Skyshiftertalk 13:41, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: High level account vandalism and dissemination of fake news SMMSocmedmanagement (talk) 02:34, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

    Temporary semi-protection: Persistent Disruptive Editing. EndzoneEnthusiast 02:55, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Requesting semi-protection due to repeated vandalism and non-constructive edits by unregistered and newly registered users. Protection would help maintain the integrity of the article while consensus is established regarding disputed content. SMMSocmedmanagement (talk) 03:11, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

    Indefinite extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – WP:RUSUKR. Isi96 (talk) 03:26, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: We have reached a consensus against including "Brazilian" in the lead sentence (per Talk:Morena Baccarin#"Brazilian actress"), and there have been hidden notes attached to both the lead sentence and the short description; yet TAs repeatedly added "Brazilian" to the lead sentence and/or the short description. Requesting pending changes protection. Thanks in advance, Thedarkknightli (talk) 03:36, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Vandal using various temp accounts breaking page. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 03:48, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Current requests for reduction in protection level

Request removal of protection from a page, or reducing the current protection level

Reason: Protected by Courcelles (whose last contribution of note was on 27 December 2025) on 15 August 2023 when this page was titled "Disney Junior (programming block)". No disruption whatsover from unconfirmed accounts for almost two years now as per the contributions page. Also RMs and CFDS shaped its change till now. Please consider unprotecting these titles; sorry if this is lengthy! Intrisit (talk) 14:11, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I think this may be the target of an active LTA? —Jéské Couriano v^_^v MUSHROOM 17:43, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Of course there's been no disruption from uncomfirmed accounts, since it was protected to require extended confirmed access. This is proof that protection is working. I also suspect there's an LTA that targets this but would wait for confirmation. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:50, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Since the "Ohio" meme has died down in popularity, I believe that this page's protection should be reduced from Extended confirmed protection to Semi-protection. There also hasn't been that much vandalism since then. Cityboiiiiii (talk) 18:37, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
