Six labourers die after ropeway cable break causes bogey fall in Gujarat’s Panchmahal
Six persons were killed when the trolley of the material ropeway they were in, on Pavagadh hill, came crashing down on Saturday. The ropeway had been erected to facilitate work on the Pavagadh development plan. The collapse occurred late in the afternoon when the ropeway cable snapped. The trolley with the six persons swung into a ropeway tower and then crashed to the ground. "All six persons in the trolley were killed. Prima facie, it seems the cable of the ropeway broke, leading to the accident. We are conducting further investigations," said Panchmahal superintendent of police Haresh Dudhat.
