HDFC Bank announces downtime: Check services affected on August 22, 2025 and August 23, 2025

HDFC Bank has informed its customers that some customer care services, including chat banking on WhatsApp and SMS banking, will be unavailable for certain periods on August 22, 2025 and 23, 2025.

HDFC Bank is conducting essential system maintenance to enhance banking experience for customers and hence some services will be impacted.

What is the scheduled downtime for HDFC Bank’s services today on August 22, 2025 and 23, 2025?

Certain services of HDFC Bank will not be available from August 22, 2025, 11:00 pm IST to August 23, 2025, 6:00 am IST for 7 hours.

Which services will not be available?

During this period, customer care services such as phone banking IVR, email, and social media, chat banking on WhatsApp, and SMS banking will be unavailable, except for the toll-free number for hot listing accounts and cards.

If you are a registered user of HDFC Bank net banking, you can conduct a variety of transactions at any time and from any location. You can complete over 200 transactions with net banking without ever having to go to your bank. Note that a net banking account is automatically created for every HDFC Bank customer. How to register for HDFC Bank net banking online

Step 1: Enter Customer ID
Step 2: Confirm registered mobile number
Step 3: Input OTP (One Time Password) which you have received on your mobile
Step 4: Select and input debit card details
Step 5: Set your IPIN
Step 6: Login to NetBanking using the newly set IPIN.

How to register for net banking through an HDFC ATM

Step 1: Visit the nearest HDFC Bank ATM
Step 2: Enter HDFC Bank Debit Card number and ATM PIN
Step 3: Select Other Option from main screen
Step 4: Select net banking registration and click on confirm
Step 5: PIN for net banking will be couriered to you.
