Gold climbs Rs 600 to Rs 1,00,620/10 g, silver surges Rs 1,500
Gold prices climbed Rs 600 to Rs 1,00,620 per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday amid fresh buying by stockists, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
The yellow metal of 99.9 per cent purity had settled at Rs 1,00,020 per 10 grams on Wednesday.
In addition, silver prices surged by Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,14,000 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes) on Thursday. It had finished at Rs 1,12,500 per kg on Wednesday, according to the association.

The initial share sale of Shreeji Shipping Global Ltd received 58.10 times subscription on the closing day of bidding on Thursday.
The initial public offer (IPO) got bids for 66,27,99,002 shares against 1,14,08,600 shares on offer, as per NSE data.
The quota for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) received 110.41 times subscription. The category for non-institutional investors fetched 72.70 times subscription while the portion for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs) got subscribed 21.94 times.

Motilal Oswal PE raises $800 million in first close of Fund V
Motilal Oswal Alternates, the private equity arm of Motilal Oswal Group, raised $800 million in the first close of its latest vehicle, India Business Excellence Fund V (IBEF V). The fund has a hard cap of $950 million, making it the firm’s largest PE vehicle to date.
The new fund attracted marquee global and domestic investors, including International Finance Corporation (IFC), Adams Street Partners, leading Japanese institutions, as well as several global and Indian family offices and HNIs. About 11% of the fund corpus has been committed by the sponsor and the Motilal Oswal team, while 60% of the commitments came from domestic institutions such as banks and insurers.
