"The office towers aren’t necessarily failures—they’re raw material for downtown’s next chapter. 'If the city gets it right,' Perot Jr. says, 'you’ll see developers from all over the country coming in. If we have to set aside eight years to turn downtown into a warzone of construction so be it. And the amazing friends I gained (and still keep up with) from being in the Dana Juett Residency in 2019--the best cohort if I do say so myself! The privilege of annually teaching their new residents about the the impact of "people movements and philanthropy", the time I served on the board, worked on meaningful projects as an SVP partner, or traveled to the Dominican Republic to see how they do good, better. SVP does cool and meaningful work to leverage social impact and reminds us of our responsibility to innovate philanthropy to meet real needs and to harness our power (and privilege) as givers to our families, local communities, and global world. Larry advises clients on complex M&A, securities, real estate, energy and other corporate transactions. Most recently, he was part of the Haynes Boone team that represented March GL Company in its merger with Pelican Acquisition Corporation and Greenland Exploration Limited, resulting in the formation and Nasdaq listing of Greenland Energy Company. Larry has remained deeply involved in the Dallas community, serving on the Friends of Katy Trail Board of Directors and the Anti-Defamation League Regional Board. Congratulations, Larry!
