Episode 1 of Peacemaker Season 2 began with a recap that updated certain Justice League appearances. Chris Smith, also known as Peacemaker, tried to join the Justice Gang. During his interview, he was mocked by Maxwell Lord, whose microphone was left on, leading Chris to walk out in anger.

At the same time, Harcourt discovered she had been blacklisted from intelligence agencies. This happened after Adebayo exposed Amanda Waller at the end of Season 1. Upset, Harcourt vented her frustration by fighting men in a bar.
