Telangana: In a first, HC strips 4-time MLA of Indian citizenship; imposes Rs 30 lakh fine
Telangana High Court has stripped former BRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh of his Indian citizenship, declaring him a German citizen. The court imposed a Rs 30 lakh fine, directing Ramesh to pay Rs 25 lakh to Congress MLA Adi Srinivas and Rs 5 lakh to the Legal Services Authority. Ramesh failed to prove renouncing his German citizenship.
