Donald Trump aides resign 2025: Six months into US president Donald Trump's second term, a quiet exodus is underway, not of disgruntled insiders fleeing chaos, but of loyal aides stepping away from the pressure of White House life for more personal, and often more profitable opportunities, as per a report.

Harrison Fields Leaves White House Role for Lobbying Firm

Among them is Harrison Fields, who served as deputy press secretary as well as special assistant to the president, according to Daily Mail. Just months after being tapped by Karoline Leavitt, the 28-year-old press secretary, Fields shocked colleagues by stepping down from a role that’s often seen as a stepping stone to the top press secretary position, as per the report.

Fields told the Daily Mail, "I look forward to continuing to support the MAGA movement in a new, deeply rewarding, and impactful capacity," as quoted in the report. He’s heading to GOP lobbying and public affairs powerhouse CGCN, where his new salary is expected to double his previous White House pay of $139,500, according to the Daily Mail report.

His departure wasn’t part of any political drama, but it was personal. Recently married with a newborn, Fields had moved to Florida for a quieter life following the campaign and had not initially planned to join the White House again during Trump's second term, as per the report. The offer to return came from Leavitt, who was his old colleague and friend and he could not decline her offer at that time, according to the report.
