Flags are flown at half-staff today in the US, following gun violence caused by the latest US Minneapolis church shooting committed by Robin Westman, 23, who fired 116 rounds of rifle fire and injured dozens of children, and killed two. The shooting was aimed at a church, which he used to attend, and is said to be ideology driven, against the Catholic community. FBI Director Kash Patel, said the act was of a heinous nature and would be investigated as a hate crime against Catholics.

The President has ordered half-staff flag raising in all military buildings, public buildings and grounds, all military posts, naval stations, and naval vessels in the US and its territories.

    The President’s press release:

US President Donald Trump, said, in a press release, “I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, August 31, 2025.”

“I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations,” he further added.

This investigation comes amid, increased gun violence reported across the country, and also at a time where President Trump has to save face, with even the nation’s leader, under fire, by The White House, and The Supreme Court, for his unlimited tariff war, against powerful nations, who have now colluded to corner him.

With domestic issues, such as this church shooting, President Trump clearly has more on his plate than he can handle.
