His remarkable career within KG Media showcases his dedication and expertise in various roles. He commenced his journey on January 1, 1994, as a correspondent for Persda Surabaya. Over the years, he steadily advanced in his career, taking on roles such as Chief of the Surabaya Regional Bureau, Executive Editor at Persda, Acting Deputy Chief Editor II, and Acting Editor in Chief at Persda Makassar.

On January 1, 2009, Dahlan assumed the role of Editor in Chief at Tribun Timur, demonstrating his leadership in regional journalism. Subsequently, he served as the General Manager of Tribunnews, Director of Digital at Tribunnews.com, and Vice President of Entertainment News.
