Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – nonsense editing on the talk page. Skyshiftertalk 13:41, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent Disruptive Editing. EndzoneEnthusiast 02:55, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Reason: Requesting semi-protection due to repeated vandalism and non-constructive edits by unregistered and newly registered users. Protection would help maintain the integrity of the article while consensus is established regarding disputed content. SMMSocmedmanagement (talk) 03:11, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Also please do not use AI/LLMs to generate RFPP requests; the behavior described as occurring in the article was hallucinated. - The Bushranger One ping only 04:24, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Extended confirmed protected indefinitely. The Bushranger One ping only 04:22, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Reason: We have reached a consensus against including "Brazilian" in the lead sentence (per Talk:Morena Baccarin#"Brazilian actress"), and there have been hidden notes attached to both the lead sentence and the short description; yet TAs repeatedly added "Brazilian" to the lead sentence and/or the short description. Current requests for reduction in protection level

Request removal of protection from a page, or reducing the current protection level

Reason: Protected by Courcelles (whose last contribution of note was on 27 December 2025) on 15 August 2023 when this page was titled "Disney Junior (programming block)". No disruption whatsover from unconfirmed accounts for almost two years now as per the contributions page. Also RMs and CFDS shaped its change till now. Please consider unprotecting these titles; sorry if this is lengthy! Intrisit (talk) 14:11, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

I think this may be the target of an active LTA? —Jéské Couriano v^_^v MUSHROOM 17:43, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
Of course there's been no disruption from uncomfirmed accounts, since it was protected to require extended confirmed access. This is proof that protection is working. I also suspect there's an LTA that targets this but would wait for confirmation. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:50, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

Reason: Since the "Ohio" meme has died down in popularity, I believe that this page's protection should be reduced from Extended confirmed protection to Semi-protection. There also hasn't been that much vandalism since then. Cityboiiiiii (talk) 18:37, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Requests for autopatrolled

Autopatrolled

Greetings dear colleagues! I'd be honored with humility if I am worthy of an autopatrolled status. Regards, An emperor 02:57, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) Taking a quick look at recent creations, your most recent article included copyright violations. On Guruli gvezeli, you used a source that appears to be a content marketing blog for a Georgian travel company. On Rachuli ham and Nadugi, you used what appears to be a content marketing blog for a Georgian mineral water producer, and on the ham article another blog post from a site promoting Georgia travel, and on Nadugi and Tenili, TasteAtlas has been discussed at WP:RSN as a user-generated source. Greetings dear admin and fellow New Yorker, voorts. Even though I disagree with assessment of my Wikipedia contribution this way as it neither in-depth nor methodical, I acknowledge and respect your decision. Regards, An emperor 05:24, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

Recent articles Ryan Atkin, Chelsea Pride, Proud Lilywhites, Chelsea rent boy, Lucy Clark shows they are familiar with WP:GNG. Their articles are well-sourced throughout and neutral, and the articles of Atkin & Clark demonstrate familiarity with BLP. Routinely creates articles, with 10 so far from this month alone, all of which have no outstanding issues from what I can see. jolielover♥talk 13:04, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello folks! Till date, I have created about 45 mainspace articles; mostly films, web series, biographies, places of worship and a historical landmark (my most recent creation). I would love to have the Autopatrolled rights; and it might help prevent the piling up of the NPR backlog, even just by a bit. And I believe I am qualified for this. If I am judged ineligible, I would be happy to work upon myself if my shortcomings are pointed out. Thanks! BhikhariInformer (talk) 11:28, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

@BhikhariInformer Could you explain why you used [6] in Basu Bati. Sohom (talk) 04:24, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
Although it's not equivalent to a major newspaper or journal, I used it cuz it appeared to be a specialised history publication rather than a personal blog. They publish bylined articles, and from what I could gather, the authors appear to be real people with relevant academic backgrounds. And this article contained detailed information about Basu Bati's history. If there are concerns regarding the source's reliability, I'd be grateful if you could point 'em out, as I used it in good faith and would like to improve my source evaluation. BhikhariInformer 📮 (Ping me or else I won't see it) 05:03, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
{{not done}} @BhikhariInformer (CC @Sohom Datta): it's a brand website. See the very bottom of the page: "Your source for unique home decor and furnishings that blend modern design with traditional Indian craftsmanship. Responsibly sourced from over 11,000 artisans, our products reflect authenticity, sustainability, and fine craftsmanship. Discover the beauty of India with Peepul Tree." I'm sure you used the source in good faith, but this indicates to me that NPP review is still necessary. voorts (talk/contributions) 17:21, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) @Voorts I'm sorry, but I do not really agree with your analysis of that source; Sanjana Ray is in fact an established journalist specialising in lifestyle and probably culture. While PeepulTree appears to be "Your source for unique home decor and furnishings...", I think the website for that branding and whatever is mostly peepultree.world and not livehistoryindia.com; the latter is a website where they publish well-researched articles relating to their niche. In fact, I find the piece to be a well-researched publication by a subject-matter expert, and in livehistoryindia credit, I consider it an excellent, high-quality editorial platform for history enthusiasts, students, cultural explorers, you name it. This is entirely my own opinion and I hope it helps. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 19:10, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
I'll let another admin review it. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:38, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

Good morning/day/evening my fellow Wikipedians. After 15 years, 200k+ edits and creating a lot of stuff here I think it is time to apply for Autopatrolled permission. I have created about 200 list articles and 150+ other main space articles, mostly biographies. Although I love all my children I'm especially proud of next WIR contributions:

Currently I am focussing on Wikispecies-related topics so the last 350+ 'pages' are soft redirects to Wikisecies. As you can see in the logs there haven't been any major issues. Thank you for your time. Kind regards, Mill 1 (talk) 20:17, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) I recommended to @Mill 1 that they apply for autopatroller. They mentioned that new NPP's nominating their soft directs to deletion (which I am also guilty of doing), and it would save everyone time if they were granted autopatroller. They've created over 8000 pages, and only 72 have been deleted.

Requests for AutoWikiBrowser access

AutoWikiBrowser

I would like to create lists of articles I might want to edit based on Regex and categories. Because of my current computing setup I will need to use JWB, which, unlike AWB, requires being on the check page for all actions, including generating lists. I do not intend to actually make any semi-automated edits until I'm more confident in my Regex skills, and am willing to make another request when that time comes. JarJarInks٩(◕_◕)۶Tones essay 15:25, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

@JarJarInks: you're still under the normal requirements (at least 500 edits or 250 mainspace edits). With your use case, I can justify making an exception, but was wondering how you're getting on with Ponor's userscript instead? In solidarity, —Femke (talk) 🐦 16:54, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Confirmed

I have 52 edits, two in-progress drafts, one draft I haven't started writing yet, and have been an editor for a few days (not long enough for autoconfirmed though). I was editing an article yesterday, and several temporary/new accounts started vandalizing/edit-warring over false assumptions of current events. Anyways, that article is now temporarily semi-protected due to my request and I just realized that I locked myself out of editing that article. I also would like the page creation rights that come with confirmed/auto-confirmed. I know this is unlikely but thought I might as well ask. FlammablePizza (talk) 13:08, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

Requests for extended confirmation

Extended confirmed

Hello, I am reapplying for the Extended Confirmed permission following the resolution of an Arbitration Enforcement request the AE result from January 2026. My EC permission was previously revoked due to 'permission gaming' and a shift into contentious topics. According to the AE result, I was instructed to wait at least 30 days and complete 500 additional constructive edits before reapplying. It has now been over three months, and I’ve reached that milestone with 500 new edits. Since the initial block was removed, I’ve taken the advice I received here initial unblock request to heart and I’ve been using the "Preview" button every time before I publish changes just to double check my self, to avoid making too many small edits. I’ve focused on trying to know and better understand wikipedia, which i find fascinating, i joined a couple of projects, such as merge, redirect, short descriptions, and discovered how important it is to perform these maintenance edits to keep the encyclopedia better and safe, i plan on joining more projects, and improve my understanding of wikipedia. I'd appreciate it if you could reassess my edits and consider removing my current restrictions, and restore my EC. I would not repeat my previous mistakes. @Happypenguins82: Which CTOP areas and/or articles that are under ECP do you want to edit? voorts (talk/contributions) 22:05, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
Hi @Voorts,
Thank you for the question. After my initial block was removed I took the time to better understand this massive platform. I've joined projects like Merges, Redirects, and Short Descriptions, every day I discover something new whether its templates or backlogs, this place is huge, and so much bigger than one single topic or a couple of them for that matter, and because I’ve discovered how important maintenance is, and good sources, and good content, I need the EC permission not for a specific single topic, but for handling technical and content related issues such as merges, or to be able to contribute quality edits to any topic I might come across, including contentious topics weather its Palestinian Israeli topic or Ukraine war or sudan or k pop figures, sports figures and music legends that might be EC protected. I discovered I like working with random options inside backlogs or articles, that's how I ended up in the PIA in the first place. but i can say that i learned so much in the past 3 months, and if I should come across a contentious topic, I would handle it with extra care and without repeating my previous mistakes. Happypenguins82 (talk) 06:53, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
Let me ask you this. This is for my own interest so feel free to not answer. Would you regard it as a 'mistake' to advocate for or against any of the belligerents in the Arab-Israeli conflict in Wikipedia given that WP:NOTADVOCACY is policy? The reason I ask is because this and this resemble advocacy more than they resemble arguments based on reliable sources and Wikipedia policies and guidelines. So, I guess my question boils down to - do you think you can comply with WP:NOTADVOCACY even if you see other editors not complying (and of course you will see people not following the NOTADVOCACY rule probably everyday)? Sean.hoyland (talk) 11:27, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
Of course I don't mind answering, I'm always happy to talk to fellow editors and I appreciate the question. I think everyone should follow all wikipedia's policy and guidelines, including the no advocacy policy, even if i have an opinion on the subject, or any topic for that matter its not relevant for a global encyclopedia, in here editors including myself should stick to dry secondary sourced facts, regardless to any editors opinion, however its not my place (not that im aware of) to instruct other editors how to behave. Happypenguins82 (talk) 12:21, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to answer, and I hope you succeed. Sean.hoyland (talk) 14:43, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

File mover

I have been contributing to Wikimedia projects since 2012, primarily on Turkish Wikipedia, English Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons. I would like to be added to the File mover user group so that I can help correct file naming issues, improve the accuracy and organisation of file usage, and contribute to the overall quality of content across Wikimedia projects. Thank you. -- bluetime93 💬 07:18, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello again! I am once again requesting permanent permission to patrol new pages. I hope that I performed well during my last trial run. Sarge Graham (talk) 07:44, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

I am familiar with the guidelines for Wikipedia’s New Pages Patrol (NPP) reviewers and would like to apply for reviewer rights. I believe I meet all the criteria mentioned in WP:NPRCRITERIA. 𝓖𝓲𝓻𝓭𝓲➃➄ ✍️ (talk) 16:38, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Back in March, I asked for another shot at NPP and was given another month's trial. After submitting a request for permanent rights to the permission,@Rosguill: stated my track record was mostly fine, but suggested I have another trial run for a month due to UPE and notability questions. Although I haven't been as active as I anticipated for NPP this past month, I am now requesting full permanent rights to the permission (once again). If my latest run suggests I am not qualified for the full rights, that is fine, and I completely understand. However, I feel like I can still contribute meaningfully and continue to grow my skills (and that in turn will help deal with the backlog).

In any event, thank you for considering my request(s) and for the oppportunity via the trial run(s). Losipov (talk) 20:58, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

I'd like to request the NPP rights to help with reviewing new pages. Comfortable assessing notability, sourcing and tone, and aware of when a page is best tagged, draftified, or sent to AfD. Familiar with the relevant policies and guidelines (WP:NPP, WP:CSD, WP:N, WP:BLP, WP:V, etc.), and I'll be careful and civil with new editors. Thanks. Xoonkowa (talk) 17:28, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

@Xoonkowa Are you using an AI/LLM to assist your communication? Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui Road Sukkur uses the phrase "tier 1" coverage, which has been used recently in a bunch of LLM-generated AFD comments but has practically never been used at AFD before two months ago. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dwipannita Kalita refers to the deprecated guideline WP:MILPEOPLE, which states that military-specific criteria should not be used. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 05:17, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
I can see why it looked suspicious, but these are my own comments. When I wrote "Tier 1", I wasn't even thinking about LLMs. I just used it as my own shorthand to say that the road has no major, mainstream media coverage, only local or broken links. As for WP:MILPEOPLE, I cited it on purpose. I wanted to point out that military rank itself doesn't grant notability anymore (like it used to under WP:SOLDIER), and that we should look at WP:BIO instead. The deprecated guideline actually says exactly that, which is why I brought it up. Sorry for the confusing phrasing. Xoonkowa (talk) 07:17, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

I was given NPP rights on a trial basis for the May drive; since then, I've reviewed 25 articles and various redirects, and I'd like to continue helping to reduce the backlog. I always check the NPP flowchart carefully and leave things alone if I'm in doubt. Thanks for your time. Crestfalling (talk/contribs) 03:07, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi, I am currently considering becoming a new page reviewer. Now, I would prefer receiving temporary rights as I'm not sure if I would forever want to be one. I have recently been granted autopatrolled rights. As of today, I have created 104 articles and have over 1,800 edits. Thanks, Fortek67 (talk) 11:14, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

Due to expire tomorrow, and would like to continue helping with NPP if possible. Thank you. Porterjoh (talk) 05:32, 31 May 2026 (UTC)

I have been contributing to Wikimedia projects since 2012, primarily on Turkish Wikipedia, English Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons. I would like to be added to the Page mover user group so that I can help improve article quality, correct page title issues, and assist with carrying out page moves in a more accurate and efficient manner. Pending changes reviewer

Hello, I am requesting pending changes rights, I want to use the rights to approve or disapprove pending changes, especially, for unsourced edits, Thank you. Allblessed (talk) 10:08, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

I already do antivandalism work on the Recent Pages Patrol using UV and Twinkle and being a pending changes reviewer would be helpful for antivandalism. Cl00m)Red -|talk|- 22:55, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

I’ve been active in anti‑vandalism work, issuing warnings and reverting disruptive edits, especially on BLPs. I try to follow policy carefully and keep pages stable.

I’d like to request Pending Changes reviewer rights. AriuCH (talk) 23:48, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights Hello. I'd like to request the ability to accept or decline pending changes on both of my accounts (User:Wikipedian12512 and User:Wikipedian12512(alt). I've read the relevant policies (BLP, Vandalism, Copyright Violations, etc.), and think that I could do a reasonable (to start, I'd probably get better over time) job. Thank you! Wikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 13:07, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

To be clear, this would be for both my accounts. In solidarityWikipedian12512 (Talking is fine | contribs) 17:04, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
I want to review pending changes protected edits in articles as I have proper knowledge of rules and policies of Wikipedia. Sometimes I see edits in PC protected article which I can revert if it goes against WP rules, but can not accept if the edit is constructive. Hopefully, I can help to build a clean encyclopedia I am granted this right. Thanks. Rht bd (talk) 17:35, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

I've been working the recent changes patrol with a focus on anti-vandalism and I'd like access to rollback to enhance this work. I currently use Ultraviolet and sometimes Twinkle as part of my tools. Hi! I've been patrolling recent changes and filter logs for about a month using UV and Twinkle. I am familiar with warning users and submitting ARV and UAA reports. I'd like to try out more efficient tools like AntiVandal and WikiShield. TurquoiseGoose (talk) 05:44, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I am applying again after my request got denied. I have been actively reverting vandalism and bad unconstructive edits more than before. I always 100% of the time let the user know why I reverted their edit. And I would like to use tools like Huggle to revert vandalism even faster. And now I have 296 edits in the mainspace, so I have much more experience. I am honestly a great vandal fighter and would benefit from rollback rights. Thank you for reading! Hi, I've been a pending changes reviewer for a little while now and I've also patrolled recent changes undoing vandalism for quite some time. I've spent the last while spending time reviewing recent changes and pending changes, on top of contributing to articles and discussions as I normally do. I am an active editor that regularly makes constructive edits to a variety of articles and topics, having improved and expanded a lot of pages. I have a very deep understanding of site policies and regularly bring up policy in Talk discussions before anything else. I think having rollback rights would help me expand my patrolling contributions, notably in preventing vandalism, and result in a net benefit for Wikipedia. Thanks for considering! HarvardJock🏫 (talk) 03:10, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

OK, I've reviewed what I was told at my last request. I now have over 200 mainspace edits. I've tried singing up to CVU/A, and now I'm just waiting. Requesting rollback permissions to try AntiVandal, Interceptor, and Huggle. And everything else. Patrolling RecentChanges seems to be the only thing I do nowadays, and I would like rollback to be able to fight vandals better. AZenit3 [Chat?-stuff I've done] 01:47, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

My temporary rollback permissions will expire soon. Throughout the "trial" for rollback, I have been utilizing Interceptor, Wikishield, and manual RB for counter-vandalism tasks. And I would like to still have access to those tools for much easier patrolling.Scoria (talk) 08:11, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

I have been maintaining and making small corrections and updates to several templates on and off, e.g. {{Cite Grove}}, {{Climate chart}}, and various infoboxes, navs, and so on. I'll give this due consideration, but a long tenure and 10k edits is being matched with the (literal) bare minimum of template edits, which makes me think there is a lack of need. Primefac (talk) 20:50, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

Would like to be able to check for signs of loutsocking on articles. I have suspicions that someone has done some very slow loutsocking on the article for Nathan Vasquez for example. Insanityclown1 (talk) 03:34, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

@Insanityclown1: I'm not sure how this perm would help identify LOUTSOCKing? It can compare temporary accounts to one another, which can detect when one person is operating multiple temporary accounts, but it can't connect temporary accounts to registered editors, which is what would show LOUTSOCKing. Can you please clarify? Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 04:07, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
Perhaps not the correct use of the term loutsocking, but what I was referring to is it appears that the same person is using multiple temporary accounts to insert the same diatribe. Insanityclown1 (talk) 04:41, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
Regarding Nathan Vasquez (lawyer), this permission would not help in cases where edits are this stale/far apart. IP address information is deleted when a temporary account expires 90 days after the edit is made. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:35, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
