MongoDB is set to report its Q2 earnings on September 1, 2026, with expectations for 24% revenue growth year-over-year. While its Atlas cloud segment shows strength, concerns linger over the unproven AI-driven demand, despite the company raising its full-year operating income guidance by $26 million.

  • This should be another wild week for individual stock volatility, which seems like the norm of late.

This should be another wild week for individual stock volatility, which seems like the norm of late. It will a heavy earnings week for IT once again as, by order of reporting, we have PLTR, TSEM, AMD, ANET, ALAB, LSCC, SHOP, SNDK, WDC, APP, EBAY, HUBS, TTMI, DDOG, NET, TWLO, TEAM, and AKAM all in play. Many Industrial, Healthcare, and Energy stocks also report. And then there is the July employment report, out on Friday morning.

  • The rotation that has been taking place under the surface (especially with technology stocks) was very evident on the first day of the third quarter.

The rotation that has been taking place under the surface (especially with technology stocks) was very evident on the first day of the third quarter. The more dispersion there is among individual stocks and industries, the greater the chance for portfolio window dressing. The strong get stronger and weak are sold as portfolio managers try to "pretty up" their end-of-quarter holdings. After the first day of July, it seems most/all of those money managers wish they stood pat and did nothing.
